BLOCK - A show for little ones that cleverly combines technology and object theater.
" Céline Garnavault and her team have created a unique and inventive device for what is one of the prettiest surprises of this young audience season. The actress evolves alone, in the foreground for a few moments before a scenography of great sobriety but full of surprises is revealed. About sixty small transparent and connected cubes have invaded the entire play area. In the middle, manipulating these blocks, Céline Garnavault composes and draws a city with its sound and light architectures... The well-behaved construction game of the first moments begins to "form a block" against its architect mistress. When these little sound boxes rebel and the machine jams, the show takes another turn. It evokes not without reason - and the children do not fail to point it out at the end of the show - the social struggles of the moment. The revolt of the workers takes shape, the blocks free themselves from any directive and lead the spectators into their swirling and disorderly ballet. With her sound creator and inventor of the blocks, Thomas Sillard, Céline Garnavault gives a new life, a 3.0 life, to the "boites à meuh" or cow boxes of our childhood. We also appreciate the very playful way the team uses to engage in dialogue with the children after the performance, at the edge of the stage. A magical moment that we have no doubt they will remember. After a few lovely successes (Play, Revers), this Block confirms the talent of Céline Garnavault and those who accompany her. The initial idea was right and, a rare thing, La Boîte à sel did not let itself be devoured by the technology it imagined and developed. Block is undoubtedly set to have a great tour in the coming seasons. A delightful show."
