Welcome - Before the show, take the time
The BLOCK team is trained in welcoming the public and children, especially the youngest ones. We are used to and enjoy taking the time to gently prepare children and adults before bringing them into the space where the show will take place. So, after the essential trip to the restroom, let's take the time to say hello, to train our ears to listen to the sounds around us, and to remember a few rules for sharing a moment of performance together. Are the phones completely turned off? Then let's go!
The performance - a time for oneself with others
Here we go, it’s the moment, it’s starting. Whether you are small or tall, this moment is for you, relax and enjoy! BLOCK is a sound performance, which means the more attentive we are, the more we listen, the more we enjoy! It’s better not to talk among yourselves so as not to miss anything, and so that your neighbors can also enjoy this moment. Keep your questions in your head, you will have plenty of time to ask them at the end of the show. How to know when the end of the show is coming? Easy, often the music ends, and the lights slowly dim, and it’s then, when it goes dark, that we can applaud to thank the actress and the whole team.
The edge of the stage - meeting, exchanging, being together
The show intrigues you, you have lots of questions about our little blocks, you would like to take a photo of the set, you wonder where all these ideas come from, and how it works? The edge of the stage is there for that! The BLOCK team will be happy to gather your impressions and explain everything, and who knows, it might be the moment to discover that you too can communicate with the blocks...
The mediation blocks - to extend the experience and play freely
// OFFERED ONLY IN FAMILY SESSIONS //
You wanted to play with the blocks throughout the show, you like to draw, read, you would like to take a souvenir card from the show, and you want to leave us a message in our guestbook? Post-show mediation allows you to extend the experience, take the time to exit the show at your own pace, and capture your own memories of this shared moment.
Workshops
For small groups of parents and children or half-classes, from 5 years old. Wearing your hard hats, go out with the interpreter of the show to listen to the sounds of the city, then come back and share what you heard. Discover the blocks, these unusual little sound boxes that work like moo boxes, play with them to recognize sounds, spatialize them, and invent soundscapes... The meeting ends with a time for coloring and free discussion.
