Natacha Sansoz cultivates an open and relaxed approach to art between high culture and popular culture. Her creations often take the form of hybrid installations that blend different artistic mediums: sculpture, photography, video, graphic design and objects, textile art, social art, and performances. Her approach questions the boundaries between art and craftsmanship, traditional and industrial practices, our relationship to territory, to place but also to work, and relies on exchange and confrontation with others according to the principle of relational aesthetics. She enjoys experimenting with materials, manipulating them freely to explore their plastic and semantic potential. She regularly trains in new techniques, whether they are artisanal and manual (wool felting, embroidery, ceramics, woodworking), mechanical and manufactured (carding, weaving, screen printing) or related to new technologies of image and sound (photography, video, sound recordings).
