Doctor in French Language Literatures at the University of Montreal - Dramaturgical advice

Julie-Michèle Morin is a doctoral student in the Department of French Language Literatures at the University of Montreal, where she conducts research on robotics in live arts.

She holds a master's degree in theater (UQAM, 2018) as well as a bachelor's degree in theater studies (UQAM, 2015). She is a student member of CRILCQ (University of Montreal) and the Hexagram network.

She has published her reflections, among others, in the journals Theatre Research in Canada, Liberté, Jeu, Esse arts + opinions and aparté | arts vivants as well as on the digital platform Percées [formerly L’annuaire théâtral].

Recently, she co-directed, alongside Josette Féral, the work La vidéo en scène: l’acteur et ses technologies (Presses universitaires de Vincennes, 2023).

She was a co-recipient of the Jean-Cléo Godin Award (best scholarly article on theater in French in Canada) in 2023.

She is also a dramaturgical advisor and specializes in supporting media and machinic writings for the stage, research-creation, and installation practices.

She has a strong interest in the history of sciences and relies on a techno-feminist approach to reflect on the issues raised by the encounter between live arts and digital cultures.
