Emma Mérabet

Doctor in Performing Arts / Temporary Teaching and Research Associate / Artistic Collaborator / Musician

Former student of ENS de Lyon (Literature and Arts, Dramaturgies track), she is a doctoral student in performing arts and a lecturer at the University of Lyon 2.

Since 2015, she has dedicated her research to contemporary aesthetics that, at the intersection of theatrical, visual, and choreographic writings, attempt to reactivate a concrete, poetic, and ecological connection to matter.

She is currently pursuing these reflections in a doctoral thesis titled: "The becoming-installation of theater: thinking about what animates non-anthropocentric stages," in preparation since September 2018 under the direction of Julie Sermon (Laboratoire Passages XX-XXI).

Close to the project of CDN-TJP Strasbourg Grand-Est, she is a member of the editorial board of the journal Corps-Objet-Image.

Since 2019, she has been collaborating on the activities of the Transmission Pole and the Ideas Workshop of the company Arrangement Provisoire, with whom she conducts research and experimentation laboratories around pedagogy through art and play.
